Animals are innocent souls that live life the way that we should be living it. They have such a capacity to live in the now, to be in the present, and live their life from moment to moment. Unlike us humans – we’re totally consumed by thoughts and feelings and beliefs that can take us away form what’s in front of us. But nope, not with these furry creatures.
And whether they’re young or old, they take the time to enjoy what they’ve been given and have fun. If you don’ t believe us, then see it if for yourself. We’re bringing you a story from the Oregon Zoo, a story that’ll bring you to smile because of the innocence and joy these animals feel and portray when they see snow!
In January of 2017, snow fell upon Portland, Oregon, more specifically over Oregon Zoo, which was hit with nearly a foot of the cold white stuff. The zoo was therefore closed like many businesses on a snowy day. And while most of are probably complaining and trying to stay warm, there are a few would out there fully accepting what’s happening around them. And it’s all caught on camera.
The video below shows clips of different animals enjoying and playing in the snow as kids usually do, and it’s one you never knew you needed. It is one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen—pure joy. It starts off with Nora the polar bear, spinning and twirling around in the snow, apparently glad to see it once again!
Later we have a sea lion who swims his way onto the snow, instantly covering himself in it. He rolls about, turning around to get his back, too!
There are different animals in this video, all having the time of their lives in the snow, but my personal favorite was the elephant, Samudra.
When Samudra walks out of his shelter and into the snow, you can see him light up! It’s such a cool thing to see! He runs out and obviously enjoys the sight and feeling of it all. He eventually starts to throw the snow into the air with his trunk, flicking it all over himself.
We’re sure you don’t want to miss this video so, here it is!
