A group of hikers reached out to a local rescue group named Yavapai Humane Trappers Animal Search and Rescue Team when they spotted a light-colored dog on a cliff.
They Tried To Rescue The Dog
The rescue team had a plan but they needed more people to successfully save the dog so they just gave her food and water and decided to proceed with the rescue the next day.

Yavapai Humane Trappers Animal Search and Rescue shared the story on social media to which a lot of people responded with support and concern.
The Owner Reached Out
One of those who responded to the post was a man named Rob Canfield who turns out to be the Labrador/Shepherd mix’s owner.
Goldie’s Story
Rob told Katrina Karr, the president, founder, and lead trapper of the rescue team, the story of how he lost Goldie. Karr said, “Goldie and their other dog took off after some javelinas, and then like an hour after that, their other dog came back, but Goldie didn’t.”
Saving Goldie
The next morning, about 15 people showed up to rescue Goldie, and Rob was the one who made the dangerous climb onto the ledge where she was trapped.
Safe And Sound
As the Jerome Fire Department’s technical rescue team arrived at the scene, Goldie made the jump and was able to follow her owner back down.
