We all need someone we can call our “partner,” regardless if they are our significant other, spouse, or best friend.
Meet Blossom And Bud
Blossom and Bud are a couple of geese whose job is to comfort mourning people at the cemetery.
Therapy Animals
We might think that dogs are the only ones who effectively play the role of a therapy animal, but as it turns out, geese can do the job too.
A Sad Event
Sadly, Bud passed away one day, and although Blossom seemed to be coping with it quite well at first, the staff at the memorial park observed her being a little lonelier when the mating season came.
Finding Bud
The mating season for geese came around and Blossom started searching for her mate again, but to no avail.
They Helped Her
The staff at Riverside Cemetery decided to help Blossom out by posting on Facebook. The post said, “Lonely, widowed domestic goose seeks life partner for companionship and occasional shenanigans.”
Meet Frankie
A local family who also has a similarly lonely male goose responded to the post and told the staff about their goose named Frankie, also called “Lonely Handsome”, who also lost his partner recently.
A Valentine’s Date
Blossom and Frankie met on Valentine’s Day, and they totally hit it off. Frankie’s family was sad that their goose was going to live in another home, but they’re happy that he’s finally found a lifetime partner.
A New Couple
The two geese now spend a lot of time together at the cemetery. They meet new people and animals together, go on walks together, and swim at the lake together.
