Man Uses Wheelbarrow To Take His Terminally-Ill Dog To His Favorite Place For The Last Time

Having a pet also means having a best friend and a confidant, and no other people can imagine the depth of the bond that you have with each other.

Meet Carlos

Carlos Fresco is a 57-year-old shopkeeper who was willing to go above and beyond for his beloved pet.

His Best Friend

He had a Labradoodle named Monty who had been with him through a lot of seasons in his life.

Adventure Buddies

Monty loved exploring the outdoors with his favorite human. He’s especially fond of going to the Brecon Beacons, a mountain range in Wales, with Carlos.

Sad News

Sadly, Monty got diagnosed with Leukemia, and Carlos only had a few months to spend with his loyal bud.

One Last Hike

After finding out that his terminally-ill dog was saying goodbye soon, Carlos decided to take him for one last hike in his favorite place – the Brecon Beacons, of course.

Nothing Is Impossible

Carlos set Monty up on a wheelbarrow because he couldn’t walk up the mountain like he used to. He tirelessly pushed his furry friend up the steep mountain.

New Friends

Along the way, many passers-by stopped to have a quick chat with Carlos, offer him help, or pat Monty’s head. It’s fair to say that Monty made a few new friends during his last hike.

They Made It

Carlos and Monty made it to the top of the mountain, and it was such an emotional moment for everyone who was there to witness their final win.

Goodbye, Monty

Monty sadly passed away soon after their final hike to the Brecon Beacons, but even though he’s not around to share new moments with Carlos anymore, we’re sure that he will always have a place in his heart and life.

Watch how Carlos helped Monty up the Brecon Beacons for the last time before he said goodbye in the video below.
