YouTube, Caters ClipsThe Heart Gallery of Tampa made a Facebook post about a group of children who were strongly bonded and deserved to stay together but they all had spent some time in separate foster homes.
A Knock At Their Hearts
YouTube, Caters ClipsYoung couple Peggy and Jacob Smith got moved by the post and wanted to help the siblings but as a young couple, they were not really in a position to adopt 8 children whose ages ranged from toddler to 14.
Foster Parents
YouTube, Caters ClipsJacob’s heart to help the children must have stemmed from his parents, Loryn and Thad, who had also fostered over 100 children in the past.
They Received An Offer
PexelsLoryn said that they received a picture of the 8 siblings several months ago with the message, “Will you consider this?” She didn’t give an answer yet because they wanted to pray about the decision first.
A Great Idea
YouTube, Caters ClipsThey prayed and ended up with a great idea: Loryn and Thad would adopt the 5 older children while Jacob and Peggy would adopt the 3 younger children.
Another Surprise
YouTube, Caters ClipsAs the couples were getting ready to set up the adoption, they received news that a 9th baby from the same mother would also need a home so Peggy and Jacob decided they could adopt the newborn as well.
Their Calling
PexelsThe couples are convinced that going to church every Sunday is not enough to call themselves Christian. Thad told Caters News, “I think we’re called to a deeper purpose than coming home and closing our doors.”
