Meeting Smokey
They read his tag and it says, “Hi, I’m Smokey. I live nearby so please don’t take me. I like to follow hikers sometimes. Don’t worry, I’ll go home when I get tired. My people love me a lot. Thanks for being nice!”
He Accompanies Them
Smokey walked with the group all throughout their hike. He even stopped with them each time they took photos.
A Guide Dog
Smokey led the group all the way to the top and walked with them until they went down the mountain.
Saying Goodbye
At the end of the day, Smokey hung out in the parking lot with Scott and his friends as they changed out of their gear. The dog even gave them a bark, as if to say goodbye, as they went on their way.
