This story proves that there’s no mission too impossible for someone who has the right amount of persistence and hard work.
Weekend Duties
Most of us look forward to the weekend because it’s the only time of the week when we don’t have to think about work and responsibilities, but surprisingly, there are hard-working people who still want to fulfill their duty even during the weekend.
Meet Jake And Koda
Maine Game Warden Jake Voter and his K9 buddy named Koda went on a search for a missing 11-year-old girl on a Friday.
Starting The Search
The girl went missing from her home in St. Albans, Maine, at around 9 AM, and Jake Voter received the call at around 10:15 AM, so his buddy, Koda, immediately started tracking the girl’s scent.
Mission Success
Within 45 minutes Koda had already tracked the girl’s scent and found her in a marshy area behind their home. According to KESQ-TV, Jake gave the girl a piggyback ride back to her parents’ house.
Another Case
After the successful mission of finding the little girl, Jake and Koda were already back out on the job on Sunday night in Bremen, Maine, ready to take on another case.
Missing Grandma
Jake and Koda then took the case of 77-year-old Mary Forde whose neighbors visited her house to check on her but only found her purse and phone inside while the back door of the empty house was open.
Koda Started Tracking
The MDIFW said, “Warden Voter and Koda began searching the thick woods behind the house shortly after, and after following an old trail, Koda was able to pick up a scent that led them to Forde, over 600 yards from her house, at approximately 12:40 a.m. this morning.”
Rescuing Mary
Mary was conscious but severely dehydrated when she was found by Jake and Koda. She said that she had fallen, and was too weak to get up so she had no choice but to spend two nights in the woods.
