People have the tendency to judge without knowing the story behind what their naked eyes see.

A Checkout Scene

It was a normal day at Walmart when a couple started bullying a woman who’s struggling at the checkout lane.

Quick To Judge

When the couple saw a woman with five kids of differing skin colors, they said, “How many baby daddies do you think she has?”

Her Struggle

The woman had to endure the loud whispers of the couple while she was pulling out her food stamp card. One that she struggled with because she didn’t quite know how it worked yet.

Stepping In

After hearing the couple’s remarks, another woman who figured that the struggling woman is actually a foster mom stepped in and helped her figure out how the food stamp card works.

When the new foster mom walked out of the store, Lindsay, who’s also a foster mom, explained the struggling woman’s situation to the couple and told them how out of line their behavior was.

Telling Her Story

Lindsay took the encounter to Facebook and said, “THAT woman? Opened her home to kids, kids that needed a safe place to go, when the one they lived in no longer proved safe enough or secure enough for them.”

Her Belief

As Lindsay is also a foster mom, she shares with every foster parent’s belief that “no child in this country or any other deserves to be cold or hungry.”

Feeding The Children

Lindsay also explained that if those children had been hers, there was nothing wrong with using food stamps to help feed children in need, which is actually a fact.

And after realizing their mistake after someone called them out, the couple silently backed up and got into another line.
