It’s relieving to get found after being alone for so long.
A Recurring Problem
Children may sometimes get lost because they’re in a stage where they want to explore things and move around, and this is not an uncommon problem in New York.
A Cold Day
It was a cold day in South Bristol, New York when a two-year-old girl went missing.
Making A Decision
New York State Trooper Brian Hotchkiss was in charge of the search party. He decided to begin climbing the mountain that was half an hour from the girl’s home when the night fell.
He Sees Something Pink
Brian spotted a pink dot in the distance that was stationary on a rock beside the stream. He started running over while hoping that the child is alive.
She Won’t Let Go
When he got to her, the child immediately hugged him and would not let go.
Such A Cold Night
The girl was cold when Brian got to her, so another trooper took off his uniform and wrapped the little girl with it to warm her up.
She’s Safe And Sound
An ambulance was called to bring her to the hospital to make sure that she was okay. She was sent home in no time.
Good Rescue
People on the internet give virtual salutes to Brian for his good save.
