Every time we go out, there’s a high chance that we will come across people who need our help.
Meet Francis
Francis Zuber is a 28-year-old photographer who’s fond of exploring, going on adventures, and skiing.
A Good Day To Ski
One day, he and his friends went skiing along Mount Baker in Washington, and little did he know that he would be at the right place at the right time that day.
Something Caught His Eye
While he was skiing down the mountain, Francis saw something poking out of the snow, and when he got a closer look, he saw that it was a snowboard.
Someone’s In Trouble
Upon checking, Francis realized that the snowboard was in a tree well, and the person owning the board has fallen and was buried in it.
He Sprung Into Action
Francis did his best to dig out the snow with his hands. When he finally found a portion of the person’s face, he cleared a small air pocket so the man underneath could breathe properly while he dug the remaining snow.
He’s Got The Tools
Fortunately, Francis had the tools needed to clear the snow. He took his shovel and started digging around the area until the man was free.
He Saved His Life
The man, Ian Steger, was finally safe. Thanks to Francis’ effort and quick response.
His “New Brother”
After a few days, Ian and Francis met again and skied on Mount Baker together. Ian posted a photo of them together and wrote that Francis is his “new brother.”
Watch how Francis rescued Ian from being buried in the snow in the video below.
