Just like any other honorable veteran, military dogs deserve to live their best lives after retirement too.
Meet Bady
Bady is a 10-year-old military K-9 German Shepherd who just retired recently.
His Service
He served as a patrol and explosive detection dog and was stationed at Kusan Air Base in South Korea.
His Partner
During his prime years as a military dog, he worked alongside his handler, Technical Sergeant Adamma Bilal, who was in charge of the kennel in Korea.
Inseparable Duo
Bady and Sgt. Bilal were inseparable for two and a half years until the sergeant got reassigned, leaving Bady behind.
Six Months Later
Sgt. Bilal moved to Florida while Bady had to stay in Korea until he retired. Six months later, Mission K9 Rescue made it possible for the former partners to be reunited as the loyal military dog retires.
The Most-Awaited Day
Mission K9 Rescue helped transport Bady from South Korea to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, where Sgt. Bilal was waiting to bring him home with him.
A Beautiful Moment
Once the cable ties on Bady’s crate were snipped, Sgt. Bilal welcomed his old buddy while Bady slowly recognized his best friend. When he realized who it was, he rushed to him and lied down on the floor to get some belly rubs from his favorite human.
Great Days Ahead
Sgt. Bilal was excited to spend more days with his dog. He told him, “You can do whatever you want, my guy. Now just living the couch life, as we call it. Chilling out. No more work. No more anything. Just gets to go live on the beach with me.”
