Scared And Pregnant Pit Bull Learns To Trust Her Foster Mom

Scared Valentine

A pregnant pit bull named Valentine was taken in by a foster parent named Brie, but she was so scared to even look up at her.

Heartbreaking Trauma

Valentine must have thought that she would be hurt or abused. Brie said, “When she first came here, she was very skittish. You could just tell how traumatized she was, and it was so heartbreaking.”

Reaching Out To Her

Fortunately for Valentine, Brie never gave up. She prepared a room for her and her puppies and tried to earn Valentine’s trust by giving her a dog cookie which she accepted, and their relationship just progressed from there.

A Change Of Character

Now, Valentine would greet Brie with the biggest smile and wild tail wags. It was clear that the dog was slowly opening up to her.

A False Alarm

One morning, Brie noticed that Valentine was a bit mopey. She would lay down and rest while the puppies in her belly were squirming and moving, so Brie suspected that she was about to give birth, but the puppies didn’t come.

The Next Day

The next morning, Valentine was in her normal self – full of energy and was ready for another exciting day with Brie until she started “digging” on her dog bed.

A New Mom

That night, Valentine gave birth to six puppies which they sadly had to give away to their forever homes.

Finding Her Home As Well

Eventually, Brie decided to officially adopt Valentine. Now they would document their journey on Brie’s TikTok. She also shared that she will also open up her own rescue shelter to help more animals like Valentine.
