Children’s wishes are always a pleasure to hear and help come true.
Meet Jordan
Jordan, a 9-year-old boy from Oklahoma, touched the hearts of viewers when he asked for something they’ll never forget during an interview with a local television station.
His Genuine Wish
When in an interview last August, Jordan was asked where he would go if he could go anywhere in the world, he replied: “to an adoption party for a home.”
Six Long Years
The 9-year-old boy has lived the majority of his life in foster care. He’s been there for 6 years.
His Gut-Wrenching Plea
Jordan said, “I would just like to have a family to call mom and dad or just mom or just dad. I don’t really care. The reason it’s important is so I could have some people to talk to any time I need to. I hope one of y’all pick me.”
He Used To Be With His Brother
Three years ago, he and his biological brother, Braison, participated in an interview though they were living in different foster homes at the time. Braison was adopted without him and now the boys barely see each other.
Reaching Out To Him
After Jordan’s interview, Christopher Marlowe, Jordan’s permanency planning worker, has already sorted through 5000 applications to adopt Jordan.
The Plan
Marlowe said that the Oklahoma Department of Human Services was hoping to get Jordan and Braison in closer proximity so that they could at least spend more time together.
Jordan’s Situation Is Finally Turned Around
In the end, Oklahoma’s Department of Human Services selected a match they believed was the perfect family for him after reviewing thousands of applications.
