It turns out Banjo’s owner left him there 5 days ago and didn’t come back.

Banjo was eager to wait for his owner. He didn’t leave the place. When he got hungry, he would eat sticks to survive.

Brooke Rapozo, one of the rescuers, fed Banjo and offered him a blanket to earn his trust.

Eventually, Banjo came with the rescuers. With a heavy heart, he painfully howled while they were driving away from the place where his owner left him.

A Brand New Life

The rescuers gave him a new name. He’s now known as Jake. He’s living a better and happier life with his new dog friends at a regional park.
