Resource Officer Helps Teen Tie His Neck Tie For An Interview

Sometimes, talking to strangers (who are trustworthy, like police officers, for example) can bring you good.

Meet Officer Lewis

Brandon Lewis, a resource officer at Sandy Springs Charter Middle School, is known for being friendly, reliable, and approachable.

His Character

He is loved by everyone on campus as the students and even the school staff can see his genuine care and friendliness toward everyone.

Mom And Son

On the other hand, a mother and son named Shawna and Drew Anderson were in distress one day as they were on their way to Stoney River Restaurant for the teen’s final interview.

A Little Problem

However, Drew wasn’t all set yet as his tie was still undone and they were already running out of time.

A Silent Prayer

Shawna was extremely worried and she had already texted everyone in their neighborhood to find someone who could do a Windsor knot on her son’s tie.

That’s When Brandon Came

Luckily, Shawna and Drew made a stop at a gas station where Brandon was on that fateful day so the worried mother approached Brandon with her “strange” request.

Happy To Help

Brandon immediately said yes and tried tying Drew’s neck tie while standing behind him. When that didn’t work, he then tried tying it on himself, and then finally faced the young man to tie it on him.

Grateful Mom

The mother and son were both grateful for the officer’s help. It was an important part of the story of how Drew got the job. Shawna recorded the whole thing and shared it on Facebook where the CBS 46 Surprise Squad saw it and decided to reward the officer’s helpfulness.

Gifts For Brandon

The CBS 46 Surprise Squad presented Brandon with lots of gifts including a $100 gift card and a goody bag from Duncan, a $300 gift card to Cabela’s, and a $200 gift card to the gas station where he met Shawna and Drew.
