Missing Woman Gets Found After 42 Years

A woman named Flora Stevens who was dropped off by her husband at the doctor’s office 42 years ago in Monticello, New York never returned home.

Detective Richard Morgan who’s working at the Sheriff’s Office in Sullivan County, New York, made use of modern technology to take another look at Flora’s case.

They Found A Lead

The social security number that they found led to a senior care center in Lowell, Massachusetts, and the information corresponded with Flora’s first name and her date of birth.

Meeting Flora

When the detectives arrived, they met a friendly white-haired woman named Flora Harris who has a different last name but is most definitely the woman that had gone missing for 42 years.

She Has A Condition

Unfortunately, Flora now has dementia and nobody knows what happened on the day of her disappearance. She couldn’t recall any details or motives because of her illness, and her memories remain lost.

Why She Disappeared

Festus Mbuva, a former worker at the care facility, believes that Flora never wanted to be found and that something happened in her past she wanted to get rid of.

Case Solved

The mystery of Flora’s disappearance is still there, but at least this cold case is finally solved.
