Meet Sakari
Sakari is a lovable husky who spent most of her life in a tiny kennel with 40 other dogs.
Her Story
She was sold to a notorious breeder as a puppy before she was found by Amanda Killen and her partner, Phil, in December 2021.
She’s The One
Sakari was frightened and shy at first, but she nevertheless gave Amanda and Phil devotion right away. Amanda said, “We knew Sakari was our soulmate as soon as we brought her home because she showed us so much love and trust so quickly.”
Her New Life
Sakari was anxious at first at her new house. However, her personality blossomed and she became happier once she understood she was protected and cared for.
Sweet Girl
She is great with kids and other animals, but her two favorite things in the world are her dad, Phil, and snow.
Daddy’s Girl
She and Phil clicked right away, and she turned to him for comfort. They became even closer each day since they both enjoyed playing in the snow. Amanda said, “Phil just kind of started putting snow on her one day. She just laid there, so he kept burying her!”
The Cold Doesn’t Bother Her
Though Sakari didn’t have much snowfall during their last winter in New Brunswick, she nevertheless liked rolling in what little they did get.
Part Of The Family
Sakari now enjoys her new life in a fenced-in yard, with a comfortable bed and lots of cuddles and treats. She is at last enjoying the family-filled, love-filled, snow-filled life she deserves.
