Parenting and babysitting are both crucial jobs that need carefulness and mindfulness when looking after little children.
Under The Scorching Sun
It was a hot day in Maryland when an unlikely incident happened in a town center.
Unsafe Temperature
The temperature that day was as warm as 80 degrees Fahrenheit, and it’s relatively unsafe for a person to be left in a car without air conditioning.
Fatal Situation
According to the National Safety Council, a temperature of 80 degrees outside only takes ten minutes to reach 99 degrees inside the car. After another ten minutes, it rises to another ten degrees and can be fatal to children and pets.
Getting Shopping Done
A 37-year-old woman left her two kids and five other kids she was babysitting unsupervised inside the car and went for a shopping run in St. Charles Towne Center.
They’re Feeling Uneasy
The temperature rises inside and the children were feeling more uneasy.
Calling For Help
A four-year-old boy found a phone left behind the car and dialed 911. He called for help and gave the operator some description of the place, and eventually, the rescuers traced the location.
Saving The Children
Using GPS technology and other technological methods, the police were able to track the location of the mall. The police, fire department, and EMF responders went straight to the location, took the kids out of the car, and gave basic treatment.
Mom Got Arrested
The authorities questioned the woman’s actions and decisions but she gave no explanation and was then arrested for Child Confinement within a Vehicle and violation of the car seat law.
