Sometimes we don’t find our pets; they find us. That was the case for an orange kitty with an eye injury, who was later named Willy.
Willy Was Living in a Woman’s Garage
She wouldn’t be able to take him in due to financial issues.
Then a Friend Offered to Take the Stray to the Vet
She would cover the vet bill and then help find the cat a suitable home.
There Was Some Bad News
The friend discovered that the cat had multiple health concerns, including an eye injury. The injury was serious enough that it necessitated that the eye needed to be surgically removed.
At First, She Didn’t Know What She Got Herself Into
Now, she had to temporarily care for a cat who was malnourished, injured, and who, at first, didn’t particularly like her.
Willy Just Wasn’t Happy
“He was mad and liked to bite me when I tried to do anything to help him,” she said.
She Never Thought She’d Be Able to Find Him a Home
His angry attitude and “pitiful” appearance would make it hard to find someone interested in taking him in.
Then She Looked Inside Her Utility Sink…
…and she saw an unusual, angel-like figure near the drain.
She Saw This as a Sign
So, she ended up adopting Willy for herself.
Willy is Doing Great Now!
He’s now fluffier, is nicely plumped up, and seems a lot happier.
If it weren’t for the angel in the sink, Willy may not have had a new lease on life.
