It’s a blessing to have a best friend you can always rely on – someone who has your back through all kinds of situations in life.
Prom Plans
Addi Rust decided she would like to go to prom with her best friend Parker Smith.
But There’s A Problem
However, she realized she couldn’t afford to purchase a prom dress as, according to USA Today, the average cost of going to prom is about $600.
Parker To The Rescue
Addi once joked about Parker making a prom dress for her, but her best friend told her he would love to do it for her.
His Hard Work
Parker has never sewn anything before, but he was determined to finish this project for his best friend so he began sketching an idea based on what Addi wanted and then asked his grandma for some sewing lessons.
She’s Amazed
Parker worked on the prom dress for months, and when Addi finally saw the finished product, she started tearing up.
He Became A Star
People noticed how beautiful the prom dress was, and Parker started getting inquiries from local theater companies if he would be interested in making costumes for their productions.
He’s Doing Great
Parker once created a costume for Cinderella in one play, which changes from a peasant robe to a lovely ball gown.
And Now He’s Taking Things Seriously
Parker is now studying costume design and musical theatre in college, and his new goal is to design costumes for Broadway, which, we know, is not impossible considering his talent, skill, determination, and love for his craft.
