Kindness can be found even in the most unexpected places.
The Holiday Season
Christmas time is usually celebrated with a special dinner, and parents are expected to provide food on the table for the family to enjoy.
Busy Days
Grocery stores get busy during the holidays, but one particular day got extra special because of an act of kindness.
Meet Sara
Sara Fleming, a Christian woman, was waiting at the checkout lane when she noticed that something was wrong with the man in front of her.
His Payment Won’t Go Through
The man’s card was continually declined which meant he couldn’t prepare a sumptuous Christmas dinner for his family.
A Voice Inside Of Her
Sara felt a tinge of conviction in her heart that she needed to help the man. She’s convinced that it was the Lord’s voice, so she stepped up and paid for the man’s bill that was worth $94.10.
A Single Father
“I don’t know how to thank you. I’m a single Dad. It’s so hard,” said the man to Fleming together with his two children.
A Heart Of Praise
After the encounter, Sara cried about it in the car, thanking God for using her to bless a person in need.
Her Testimony
Sara told the story on Facebook to encourage other people about being kind to others. She wrote, “It was like a gentle shove on the back and a mild electric shock to my heart. ‘Pay for these groceries,’ it said.”
An Unexpected Surprise
Months later, while Sara was attending a church service, she was surprised to see a familiar figure, sitting at one of the pews. It was the single man she helped at the grocery store.
Fate is really unpredictable. No one’s in control of it. The only thing we have control over is our actions, and it’s important that we always choose to be kind to everyone.
