Ruth Clark is a widow from Sugar City whose life took a turn after she lost her whole family.

Her four sons suffered from Muscular Dystrophy, and her daughter lost her life to a different illness. This left Ruth and her husband, Rick, in a state of grief and sorrow.

Sadly, Rick also passed away in October 2023, leaving Ruth all alone.
Giving Back
A few years ago, Secret Santa helped a young father with ALS. After learning about this, Ruth generously donated her wheelchair-accessible van to the family in need, and now people are willing to pay her kindness back.

The East Idaho News team made a surprise visit to Ruth to deliver her gifts from Secret Santa.

The team presented her with a check for $4,000 and the news that Secret Santa would cover her late husband’s funeral expenses.

They also gave her some additional funds to visit a grandchild in Maine and to take time off for herself.
