Meet Jaylen
Jaylen is a a Colorado football player who stumbled upon a life-changing event while he was on a hike.
Into The Woods
He was in the mountains, with no other people or cars in sight, when he spotted a dog and a cat who were both in bad shape.
Poor Creatures
Jaylen’s heart melted upon seeing that the dog’s fur was very matted, and the kitten was only a few weeks old and very weak.
Any Owners?
The teen athlete brought the animals to the Humane Society so they could be examined. The dog was microchipped, but the owner did not answer the phone when they were called so it was obvious that the animals had been left behind.
First Things First
Jaylen gave the cat and dog a bath and had the canine’s fur shaved off. The kitten was then placed with a foster family who could give her the care she needed.
New Fur Parent
Jaylen eventually decided to adopt the dog and he named her Angel.
New Lifestyle
Jaylen exhibits incredible commitment as he juggles his life as a student-athlete with his new role as a dog dad.
Fun Times
Despite his hectic schedule of football games and early mornings, he makes sure Angel is taken care of by spending quality time with her in between. Every day that goes by, Jaylen and Angel’s friendship gets stronger.
