The city of Buffalo, New York, has been a bit controversial in the past months because of the stories of police brutality, but this young man showed that you can be the light in the midst of darkness if you want to.

Meet Antonio

18-year-old Antonio Gwynn Jr. saw the aftermath of protests along Bailey Avenue in Buffalo on Facebook Live.

He Got Up And Did Something

The young man did not mind the danger, and went out at 2 AM with his broom and trash bags and started sweeping the streets.

One-Man Team

There were no police or road crews out cleaning up the trash. There was broken glass on the streets but the 18-year-old who spent 10 straight hours singlehandedly clearing out the road of trash took care of it all.

People Noticed His Work

A lot of people were impressed with Antonio’s gesture, and some of them decided to bless him like Matt Block who saw Antonio asking for car-buying advice on Facebook. He gave his 2004 red Mustang convertible to him instead.

Another Reward

Another man named Bob Briceland heard of Antonio’s story and Matt’s gift to him so he offered 3 years of free auto insurance through his agency to complete the whole exchange.

He’s Off To College

Antonio was about to graduate from Hutch Tech high school and he was planning to go on to trade school while he saved up for college, but Medaille College offered him a full scholarship. He’s off to college with a major in Business right away.
