Some people may think that rescue dogs are lucky to find a loving family, but in reality, most people who adopt rescue dogs say that they’re the lucky ones for having loving dogs as part of their family.
Meet The Trio
Cooper, Trixi, and Bruno were stray dogs who were spotted sleeping on a discarded mattress on Christmas Eve of 2021.
Rescuing Them
Ruff Start Rescue (RSR) found them and was able to rescue Trixi and Bruno on the same day but Cooper escaped the rescuers.
Two Months Later
The rescuers finally found Cooper after two months, and they were relieved to know that he survived Minnesota winter by himself.
Giving Them Medical Attention
The vet performed a medical check-up on the three dogs and discovered that all of them would need to have one leg amputated so they can be healthy and stay healthy in finding their forever homes.
They’ve Been Adopted
Cooper, Trixi, and Bruno had all been adopted, and Ruff Start Rescue received an update from Cooper’s family after a year. They said, “From living in a dump on the reservation, having his leg amputated, and now enjoying his first camping week. Cooper, our foster fail, loves to swim, boat rides, and everything about camping.”
Finding Bruno And Trixi
Ruff Start Rescue also found Bruno and Trixi’s new families and got an update from them as well. They said, “Bruno’s family said he is so easygoing and happy to be in a home, and Trixi seems to do well but is a little more tippy than the boys. We believe the boys protected her.”
A Reunion
The families of the three dogs arranged to have them reunited, and the dogs and their families had a great time together.
From Dumpster To Sweet Homes
It was great seeing how the dogs’ life changed in just a year. They went from living in a dumpster to sleeping in a house filled with love. It was like a miracle.
