Meet River
River is a resilient dog who was born in a desert in Qatar.
Tough Start
The early years of his life were not easy. He had experienced the hardships of life on the streets after being born on a construction site in the desert.
Battle Scars
He’s got wounds from fights with other dogs, which also served as a reminder that he had survived.
Glimpse Of Hope
However, things changed for the better when he was rescued and sent to a shelter, where he got the medical care he needed to start on the road to a better future.
New Family?
Another turn in his story came when he found himself in Canada living with an adoptive family, but things didn’t work out.
Forever Family!
At that point, an American family flew all the way to Canada to meet River and finally bring him into their home. He entered a new chapter, a new country, and an entirely new world.
Trust Issues
Getting used to his new life and family presented its own set of difficulties. River struggled with fear and anxiety as he made his way through strange places including doorways, car rides, and other dogs. Upon realizing the scars from his past, his new family set out to help him in overcoming his fears.
The Best Life
Eventually, River started to adapt to his new life. He matured into a devoted running partner to his owner, mastering challenging mountain paths and becoming particularly fond of snow.
