There’s a reason why different animals live on land, in the sea, or air, and only a few of them can survive in more than one habitat. With that being said, we know that deer are only meant to stay on land.
Feeling The Sea Breeze
A trip to the beach to relieve some stress is always a good idea, but it’s made more interesting when you get to save a life out in the ocean.
Meet Rob
Rob Kurdy had an awesome experience in the sea. He not only got to enjoy the waves but he also became a hero.
Fishing With Friends
He was just out fishing in Long Island Sound with his friends when they spotted something six miles offshore.
It Was A Deer
When they had a better look at it, they realized it was a buck that had been swimming in circles for quite some time.
Rescuing The Buck
The deer was shivering and was having a hard time staying afloat so they decided to rescue him using some rope to attach the deer to the boat and tow him back to land.
Back On Land
Upon reaching the shore, Rob jumped into the sea and pulled the deer out of the water himself.
Neighbors Helped
People who live nearby brought blankets to warm up the buck and after some hours, he was already able to stand up and go on his way.
A Story To Remember
When asked about the experience, Rob said, “It’s a life and I’m not going to let him drown. He was out in the middle of nowhere… so we all said ‘we can’t let him drown’. It was just the right thing to do.”
