Eventually, Ralph spotted Harley swimming at the lake by their home, but to his surprise, he wasn’t alone.

When Ralph found Harley, he was in the middle of the lake, paddling beside a baby deer who he seemed to have rescued from drowning.

Harley kept on swimming until they made it to shore. He then brought the baby deer to their lawn and began licking and caring for it.

The rescued fawn’s mother must have followed his bleats to Ralph’s yard. She was already there, waiting to be reunited with her baby.

They Went Home

When he saw the doe, Ralph led Harley indoors and left the fawn outside so his mom could take him home. The doe waited until Ralph and Harley were gone before leaving with her baby.

A Visitor

The next morning, Ralph noticed Harley impatiently running by the windows as if something exciting was outside. Ralph opened the front door, and Harley ran for the tree line where the fawn from yesterday was. Harley and the fawn touched noses, nuzzled, and had one last moment before the fawn left for good.
