Each day at work is unique. No matter how routinary you think your work days may be, there are still little things that make some days a little more special than others.
Officer On Duty
Officer Chloé Woodmansee was on traffic duty on May 07, 2023, when an interesting thing happened to her.
Traffic Stop
She asked a pickup truck to pull over because the driver was having difficulty staying in the lane.
On His Way Home
As it turns out, the driver, “Fred,” who was an elderly man, just left Cotton Eyed Joe’s, a dance hall in Pickens, South Carolina, and was on his way back home.
Quick Chat
As soon as he was cleared and was let off with a warning, he and Officer Woodmansee got into a quick friendly chat, and that’s when the policewoman noticed he still had his dancing shoes on.
“Do You Dance?”
The unique shoes piqued Officer Woodmansee’s interest, so Fred asked her, “Do you dance?” to which she politely answered, “No. I’ve never seen it before.” so the gentleman got out of his car and proudly showed off his clogging shoes to the officer.
Free Dance Lessons
Officer Woodmansee was amused by Fred’s shoes so he volunteered to teach her a “two-step” on the road. They held hands and started dancing around, but Officer Woodmansee wanted to see Fred demonstrate how a pro does it.
So He Did
Fred then went ahead and showed her some of his signature moves, and the amused officer commended him, saying, “That’s awesome!”
Fun Times
This comical encounter between Officer Woodmansee and Fred is proof that being a law enforcer doesn’t have to be boring, and it’s always fun to meet and get to know new and interesting people while you’re at work.
