Unexpected Number

Luna In Labor
PexelsThe dog’s name is Luna and she went into labor around midnight so her owner helped her deliver five puppies through the night, but by 7 o’clock in the morning, things had slowed to a stop.
Getting Help
PexelsLuna’s owner called the Fredericksburg Veterinary Center in Texas and took her in. Dr. Turner was the one who helped with the delivery of Luna’s babies.
Something Was Wrong
PexelsLuna was rushed into surgery after they found out that the sixth puppy had become breeched, and when they looked inside, they saw that there were a lot more puppies still to come.
Pups Kept Coming Out

The Final Count
PexelsSoon, the delivery was over and they were able to get a final count of the puppies. Five were delivered naturally, and then another 11 via c-section. So Luna gave birth to a total of 16 puppies.

Almost A Record
