12-Year-Old Boy Performs CPR On Passed Out Therapist In Pool

Kids learn a lot from the things they watch on TV, and while some of them have negative effects on their behavior, there are also series and movies that teach us life-saving skills we can use during emergencies.

Austen And Jason

Jason Piquette is the behavioral therapist of a 12-year-old boy named Austen MacMillan, and they’ve grown such a great bond through their sessions.

A Sunny Day

It was a hot day in Palm Beach County, Florida so Jason and Austen decided to have a fun day at the pool.

While they were hanging out in the pool, Jason playfully demonstrated to Austen his ability to hold his breath underwater.

What’s Happening?

Austen watched him and waited for him to emerge from the water, but seconds turned into minutes and the therapist still wasn’t moving, so the young boy was already getting worried.

What To Do?

When a few minutes had already passed, Austen finally decided to dive into the water and pull Jason to the shallow part of the pool.

HELP!

He then ran to the front of the house and called out for help, but no one was around.

“Stranger Things” Fan

When he realized Jason’s life was on his hands, that’s when he suddenly remembered an episode from the Netflix series “Stranger Things” and started performing CPR on his therapist and friend.

He’s A Hero

Austen’s successful CPR “brought Jason back to life” just before his dad, Andrew, arrives, carrying groceries.

Brave Kid

Jason was immensely grateful to the young boy for being brave and for being his hero. He said, “I’m just so amazed at how strong he was.”
