She Got Worried
PexelsWhen the time came when Cissy noticed that Tommy hadn’t collected his previous mail yet and his front door was open while his truck was in the front yard with the hood up, Cissy went ahead to check.
Unexpected Situation
PexelsCissy went to the door and called for Tommy. When she heard him yell back to her for help, she went in and found him on the floor, dehydrated and injured.
He’s There All Along
PexelsWhen Cissy asked Tommy, she learned that he had been there for 10 days.
Calling For Help
PexelsCissy immediately called 911 and waited with Tommy until an ambulance arrived.
His Hero
PexelsCissy said in an interview that Tommy calls her his hero and “if that’s what he wants to say, I’m good with it,” she said.
Right Place At The Right Time
PexelsShe also said, “But I don’t feel like a hero. I was just at the right place at the right time.”
