Attentive Cheerleader Jumps Off Float To Save Baby During Parade

Despite the world’s problems and issues, we cannot deny that there are still a lot of kindhearted people around us.

Homecoming Parade

On Rockwell High School’s homecoming parade, a skillful cheerleader did not only entertain the people with her stunts, but she also saved a little boy’s life.

Talented Cheerleaders

17-year-old Tyra Winters and her co-cheerleaders came out on a float and were dancing to entertain the crowd during the parade.

They Came To Watch

Nicole Hornback was with her two young children, Clark and Warren, that day to see the parade.

An Emergency

They were all having a great time until her two-year-old son, Clark, began choking on a piece of candy. Nicole said, “He was just physically just choking, just gagging and just gasping for air.”

Tyra Went To Help

Nicole was extremely worried and rattled, and Tyra saw what happened so she immediately jumped off the float, raced toward Clark, and started performing the Heimlich maneuver on him.

He’s Fine

The candy had come out from Clark’s throat, and the air began rushing back into his lungs, so Tyra handed him back to his mom and ran back to her float to continue with her routine.

It Happened So Fast

Nicole was extremely grateful to the cheerleader who saved her son’s life, but things happened so fast that she didn’t even have the chance to ask the girl’s name so she later posted on Facebook and someone who worked at the school saw this post, and connected Nicole with Tyra.

Meeting His Hero

Soon enough, Tyra, Nicole, and her kids met in person. Tyra and Nicole hugged, while Clark and Tyra high-fived, as the boy was a little shy meeting his real-life hero.
