His Story
He was initially found by rescuers chained to a pole at a riding camp, and it was a heartbreaking situation to see him in.

The camp he was found in was designed for tourists to ride elephants, which was no place for a baby elephant like Tofu.

Animal rescuers from Planting Peace embarked on a rescue mission to give Tofu a life where chains no longer exist and are only a distant memory.
Steps Toward A New Life
On his rescue day, Tofu was dropped off in the middle of the woods. His first steps into a world without chains were a momentous event to witness.

The animal rescuers and the team rejoiced as Tofu became the first baby elephant they had ever rescued with the goal of reintroducing him to the wild.
