There’s nothing more beautiful than a long-awaited reunion that no one knew was going to happen.
A Lost Cat
The San Antonio Animal Care Services received a call about a cat that looked a little sick.
Saving Her
Officer Perez picked the poor cat up and scanned her for a microchip.
She Has A Unique Name
The rescuers learned that her name is Monkey Face, so they treated her ailments before driving her to her registered address.
Nobody’s Home
San Antonio Animal Care Services said, “We already knew the address was out of date and quickly learned that the other contact information was as well.”
They Continued Searching
The team continued looking and worked hard to get in touch with the kitty’s owner, and after almost two weeks, they found Monkey Face’s mom!
Lost For 6 Years
Monkey face’s reunion with her owner after being lost for 6 years is truly emotional. Ms. F, the owner, couldn’t believe it and almost thought there was a mistake.
But There Wasn’t
Monkey Face seems to recognize her owner as she shows a series of appreciative chin scratches on her mom.
Finding Homes For Pets
San Antonio Animal Care Services takes pride in helping animals like Monkey Face. They said, “The power of the microchip, the hard-working team members, the care these pets receive… It’s all connected to our mission to find homes for the pets in our care. And Monkey Face wouldn’t have it any other way!”
