Businessman Donates $11 Million Wedding Budget To Homes For Homeless

Manoj Munot is a successful businessman who’s thinking of allocating a huge budget for his daughter’s wedding.

A Big Celebration

When it was time for his beloved daughter, Shreya, to get married, he initially planned an extravagant wedding that would cost him $11 million.

A Realization

However, Manoj realized that spending so much on his daughter’s wedding would be wasteful so he spoke to his brother, Prashant Bamb, who is a local politician who said that he should trust his conscience.

He Had Another Idea

With that, Manoj decided to consider the poor people in their community. He said, “I had seen so many people- daily wagers, laborers, domestic workers- who had spent a lifetime toiling but failed to secure a roof over their heads.”

Shreya Agreed

Manoj met up with Shreya and asked her if she was okay with spending most of the wedding fund on building homes for the poor. The kind daughter agreed and decided she would have a modest wedding instead.

90 Families

Manoj started looking for the families in his community that needed homes the most. Ultimately, he managed to locate 90 families who desperately needed homes and got the construction started right away.

On the other hand, Shreya still got to marry the man she loves and celebrate the special event with her family and friends.
