In 2018, Easdale’s team was notified of two stray dogs huddled together at the edge of a highway road. One of them, a German Shepherd, was badly injured in a hit-and-run incident.

The other stray dog noticed the injured German Shepherd on the side of the road and stayed by her side until help arrived.

While being treated at the vet, it was discovered that the German Shepherd was pregnant with 10 puppies.

The German Shepherd’s protector sat by her side through every procedure. The vets named the soon-to-be mom Marley and her stray companion Murphy.

A Happy Ending

Thanks to Murphy’s support, Marley gave birth to her healthy puppies and all were given a new home. Marley and Murphy’s story touched many and both found loving families to call their own.
