58-year old Martin Hurkens always had a dream of being an opera singer.

He Didn’t Have The Resources

As much as he’d want to pursue his dream, unfortunately, he didn’t have the money to stay in music school.

So He Baked

Alternatively, Martin became a baker for 32 years to make a living.

He Lost His Job

When Martin lost his job in 2010, his daughters wanted to rekindle his lifelong dream so they entered him in the reality TV talent show called “Holland’s Got Talent”.

He Pulled It Off

Aside from winning the competition, Martin acquired lots of fans with his exceptional singing voice.

He Became A Singer

Since then, Martin has been all-out in his singing career, impressing people with his talent.

He Busks

On some days, Martin takes to the streets of Holland, places down his hat, and sings to a gathered crowd.
