Goodbye For Now
His son, Caden, was only 11 months old when he got stationed overseas for 11 months.
Tough Times
It was hard for him and his family as his deployment meant he would be missing important milestones in his son’s life.
How They Coped
During those 11 months, Cody was only able to hear about his son and wife through messaging and video calls, and although technology had been a huge help for them, being able to hold his family in his arms is still incomparable.
Coming Home
As Cody was about to come home, he and his wife, Kirby, planned on surprising Caden by wrapping him up as a gift from Kuwait.
Curious Kid
When Caden saw the enormous gift, he was filled with excitement, but little did he know that whoever was inside it was way more precious than any other gift he was thinking of.
It’s Daddy!
When they opened the huge gift and Cody revealed himself, Caden’s eyes popped out in disbelief at the sight of his dad, and then he started dancing around in joy.
Together Again
Caden then ran into his dad’s arms and shared a beautiful moment with him. Cody’s worries about his young son not recognizing him were all washed away when he felt the warmth of his son’s embrace.
