Having a pet does not only mean getting responsibility, but it’s also about having someone who stays by your side and loves you as their own.
Out For A Drive
Scott was driving through a country road in Payette, Idaho one day to clear his head when he saw a sign that said, “German Shepherd puppies.”
Unplanned Adoption
It was like a sign from the universe as he had recently lost his German Shepherd, so he stopped by and took a look at one of the puppies and fell in love with him instantly.
Odd One Out
The puppy was named Biggie. He had several issues, including a hernia, but Scott didn’t mind them and decided to take him home that same day.
Giving Him The Best Life
Scott and Biggie helped each other become active by engaging in different outdoor activities. Scott said, “I want to give him the best life that I can.”
His Favorite Place
Mountains are Biggie’s happy place. They both enjoy snowboarding together, and even just running together in wide open fields.
He Doesn’t Get Tired
Scott and Biggie also go hiking and swimming – just any activity that allows Biggie to run freely.
Still A Puppy
Despite his large body, Biggie is still a puppy at heart, and he loves playing with a small ball and treats it like a pacifier.
A Worrying Situation
A few weeks ago, Biggie was hospitalized and spent three days in the ICU because of fluid in his lungs. Thankfully, Biggie made a full recovery, and Scott said that this incident taught him not to take things for granted.
The Best Life
Many would agree that Biggie is lucky to have Scott, but Scott says that he’s as blessed to have Biggie in his life. He said, “If you give your dog the best life you can, in turn, you can have the best life you can have as well.”
