Kenneth is a World War II veteran, and the people where he lives admire him because he’s independent but also super kind and caring.
Shopping Day
Unfortunately, something worrying happened while he was shopping at a local store called H-E-B.
He Lost His Money
Kenneth had somehow lost $800, and he didn’t know if he lost it inside the store or somewhere in the parking lot.
Looking For It
When he realized the money was gone, Kenneth panicked. He went back to his car and dug in every crevice to find it but to no avail.
He Met Cindy
Eventually, a woman named Cindy Gonzalez saw that the old man was upset, so she walked over to Kenneth who explained his dilemma.
She Helped Him
Cindy helped Kenneth search for his money. When they really couldn’t find it, she posted the veteran’s situation on Facebook to which a lot of people responded by raising a total of $3,705 for Kenneth.
A Pleasant Surprise
After collecting the money, Cindy immediately drove to Kenneth’s home. She told him what the community had done, and told him that he’s given so much and now, it’s time for him to get back.
