Nowadays, it’s kind of rare to see young people taking on responsibilities they do not seem to be ready for, but this guy knows he’s the only one his siblings can depend on.
Meet Raul
Raul Acosta is a 26-year-old man from Glendale who already has a big responsibility at a young age.
His Siblings
Raul is only in his late 20s but he is already responsible for looking after his 7 brothers and sisters as he is now their legal guardian.
Their Mom Is Gone
Raul’s mother passed away just recently in a tragic way. Since he is the eldest among the siblings, and none of the other kids was old enough to work yet, when he was just 18 years old at the time, Raul had to be in charge of his siblings.
He Doesn’t Want Them Separated
When asked why he decided to keep his siblings with him, Raul said he doesn’t want any of them to go into the foster system so he thought he would just work hard to raise them all.
His Work
Raul had a Burger King truck-driving job but his work hours got reduced in 2020, and now they are facing potential eviction from their current home.
Attorney Sandra To The Rescue
Attorney Sandra Creta heard about the siblings’ situation and offered her services for free to keep a roof over the Acosta siblings’ heads.
People Came In To Help
After some negotiations, Raul then needed to pay off $14,000 to keep the house, so a GoFundMe was set up for them which later on collected a total amount of $140 000.
His Siblings’ Hero
Considering everything he has done for his family, we can all agree that Raul is indeed his siblings’ superhero. His love for them as an elder brother is the biggest thing that motivates him to strive harder for their welfare.
