Siblings in the foster system won’t always have the luck of finding a home that won’t get them separated, and this is the truth for most children who don’t get to grow up in a loving family.
Temporary Home
Foster parents are one of the most kind-hearted people on earth, and they show this by taking care of foster children and giving them temporary homes until they find a family that will lovingly adopt them.
Meet Julie And Will
Julie and Will Rom have always dreamt of being parents, but since they were unable to conceive a child, they decided to become foster parents.
Being The Bridge
Julie and Will have taken children from the foster care system into their homes for about a decade. Julie said that they wanted to “foster and be the bridge for these kids while the parents get themselves together and eventually get themselves through reunifications.”
Two Siblings And More
In 2014, siblings Will and Truth came into Julie and Will’s care. Eventually, in 2015, their sister Mariana followed, then KJ and Keyora joined them in 2016.
The Roms’ Decision
After considering the situation, Julie and Will decided to adopt all five siblings. They said, “It’s extremely important that they do stay together because they’ve lost so much from their past.”
Finalizing The Adoption
In 2018, the Roms’ adoption of the half-siblings who all shared the same mother got finalized by Judge Ralph Winkler at the Hamilton County Probate Court.
Judge’s Thoughts
Judge Ralph Winkler said, “I am excited and happy for the Rom family and their future together. They changed 5 siblings’ lives forever by adopting them into a safe, loving, and caring family.”
They Need A Bigger House
Julie said that they needed to upgrade from a three-bedroom ranch to a five-bedroom two-story house to accommodate their bigger family, and they were absolutely happy to do it.
