Kindhearted Man Drives 17 Hours To Adopt Dog With Hydrocephalus

Despite life’s toughest battles, fate is sometimes still kind enough to lead us to people who will face them with us.

Meet Mr. Muggles

Mr. Muggles is an adorable and lovable puppy who was adopted by a kindhearted man named Blake.

His Condition

The poor pup was born with hydrocephalus, a neurological disorder caused by an abnormal buildup of fluid in the cavities deep within the brain, which caused his head to become deformed.

His Story

Mr. Muggles was given up by his previous owner. He was then taken in by Road Dogs and Rescue, an organization that rescues and rehabilitates medical bulldogs and puppies with birth defects.

Blake Heard About Him

When Blake heard about Mr. Muggles’ story, he immediately called Road Dogs and Rescue and arranged to adopt the lovable pup.

Long Drive

Because Mr. Muggles wasn’t able to fly due to the pressure it puts on his brain, Blake’s only option in bringing him home was through road travel so he drove for 17 hours from Seattle to Road Dogs and Rescue’s location in Los Angeles to see him.

Road Trip

Mr. Muggles enjoyed the long trip, though. He sat comfortably next to his new owner all the way home. Their time on the road also established a good relationship between the two of them.

New Family

Mr. Muggles has brought so much joy into Blake’s life. He’s such a lovable dog with a huge heart and a great personality.

For Extra Safety

Blake, on the other hand, is extra protective of his dog. He even created a custom helmet to protect Mr. Muggles’ delicate head so he can explore the world safely.
