You’ll be surprised to find out this goofy 109-year-old firefighter’s secret to long his life.
Happy And Healthy Life
Most, if not all, of us dream of living a long life. Some try to achieve this by eating healthily while others dedicate themselves to exercising regularly.
Meet Vincent
Vincent Dransfield is a centenarian who lives in New Jersey and still serves in the community today.
His Legacy
He is a retired Fire Chief and the oldest firefighter in Little Falls Volunteer Fire Department as his name remains on their roster at Singac Engine Company No. 3.
A Wall For Him
The fire department has also dedicated an entire wall to him where his helmet and axe are situated as a tribute to his ongoing 84 years of service.
People Love His Humor
Vincent is loved by everyone in his community. One main reason for this is his sense of humor. He said, “I like to have a sense of humor. It’s good. It gets you somewhere. If you’re nasty and angry, you ain’t going nowhere.”
His Secret
When asked about his secret to a long life, Vincent answered, “I drink Ovaltine every day,” which makes sense because the drink is packed with much-needed nutrients.
Family Man
The old man is loved by his family. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren love hearing his jokes and stories.
109th Birthday
Vincent just turned 109 years old last March, and he celebrated it with his family in his house.
