Teamwork always gets the job done, no matter if there’s just the two of you or 80 of you.
The Amish Way
Traditional Christians from the Mennonite church, the Amish adhere to “Ordnung,” or “order.”With this, they try to avoid using technology as much as possible.
Their Focus
Their wonderful community aims to live a simpler life – one that is more focused on family and responsibility and less on self-centeredness and consumerism.
Moving A House
Moving to a new house can usually be an exhausting task. That’s when moving trucks are the most helpful.
No Need For Trucks
As for the Amish people, when they say that they are moving houses, they mean that quite literally.
All For One, One For All
Picking up and moving houses is a normal event for these folks. In Spartansburg, PA, 80 people from the Amish community gathered together to move a house to a slab of cement.
Altruism At Its Finest
Everyone involved in the event gave it their all. No matter how close they were to the owner of the house or if they would be getting any monetary gain, it didn’t matter. They all just wanted to be helpful.
Ready To Help
Usually, people only do favors if they’re going to get something in return, but this is not the case here. Every one of them is always available to help without thinking if they will be paid or not.
Sharing Their Community Works Online
Their community has a YouTube channel called “Mission to Amish People” where they share “information about ministries, services, testimonies, and opportunities to Amish and non-Amish (English) communities alike,” according to their website.
