I had a car accident and broke my leg in five places. Between the ambulance ride, 3 surgeries, 2 weeks in hospital and the metal hardware (1 rod, 2 plates, 30 screws and 12 pins) my bill was more than 250,000 dollars. Thank God I had insurance or I would be paying for that til death I'm sure. US is so messed up when it comes to medical care!
I just googled it too. I went even further and looked up his occupation and location and found it. If he didn't make it up that is insane!
