Ive read a similar one, something about their computer monitor not working it was unplugged at the wall everytime. Turns out the cleaner was unplugging it to vacuum and was forgetting to plug it back in.
Dont blame here for being upset but at the same time she said she was doing a matching costume with a friend first. Leaving him the option of asking uou. Im actually surprised she didn't demand him to do a couples costume in the first place
I can see why the other workers dont like you, however agree with above statement of allergies & fears (I have seen someone have a panic attack that bad they were hospitalised all because someone brought a dog into there workplace-they were attacked by the family foxi as a toddler)

Ive seen this happen before.......except they explained that things were taking longer than expected on the other end and could they wait another month (yes month) they weren't thrilled but understood & asked to be kept in the loop if things looked like it would take longer
