AITJ For Being Vulnerable With My Mom?
NTJ! Honestly, you confiding in your mom and letting her comfort you probably helped destress her more than anything else could. As a mom to 2 adult children and one teen, it gives me great comfort and renews my confidence when they come to me for help. It lets moms know they got something right when everything else feels so wrong. Knowing your child feels safe and loved enough to seek solace with you is the life b***d we need to carry on.
NTJ. You were at a kid's park. Sometimes kids act like fools. She should have expected that.
NTJ. My daughter doesn't shave because she got sick of it after 10 years of competitive dance and having to be clean shaven 24/7. I did ask her to consider shaving for my brother's wedding we were both in. I know she will shave if a particular cosplay costume calls for it so I asked her to consider it part of her wedding "costume." We both wore tattoo covering make-up and she shaved because it was my brother's show and we wanted to follow his vision of what it would be. When you agree to be part of something, you automatically agree to the wishes of the person directing it (within reason, of course)
I would bet money that C isn't a picky eater, but rather suffers from anorexia. If she is underweight and appears malnourished, that is likely the case. Picky eaters still eat. Pretending not to like a large number of foods is one way anorexic people try to hide their condition. Try your best to talk her into seeking medical attention.
