And ppl ask why I refuse to allow my child to participate in organized religion
I cannot express this enough......YADTJ!! To look at my husband, you'd assume he's a healthy 40+ year old man. Until you come home, and see the small pharmacy he has in the kitchen. To look at me, you'd assume I was a healthy 40+ year old woman. Until you see my medical records for the last 15 years and you wonder how I get by without O*****s. Then you will ALSO see my mental health list and wonder how is it I'm not in an asylum!!
Unless your parents are paying for the wedding, the only opinions that matter in this case are those of you, your sister, and her fiancé. If your parents were so "accepting", how your sister would like you dressed at her wedding is ALL THAT MATTERS and your parents need to accept THAT!! THEY are causing a rift in the family! If your sister and her HTB are supportive of you being and dressing as a bridemaid, your parents need to either get on board, or risk ruining the relationship between all
I suffer from chronic migraines and have to be careful of triggers. I also suffer with sensitive hearing. EVERYBODY in my household and in my immediate life is aware of this issue has hold enough respect for me to not do anything to "set me off"!! Your husband sounds like an inconsiderate jerk and while the "D" word may have been a bit extreme, he may have needed that "wake up call"
